> how can i calculate turnaround times?
In general, we need 6 business days in the lab to produce a standard crown. This does not include the day the case reaches Shikosha or the day it is sent back to your office.
> what if i need a case before the turnaround time allows? how do i rush a case?
In most instances, we are able to rush a case to have it finished before its normal delivery date. Anything less than our standard 6 day turnaround (12 days for Implants) will be charged a Rush Fee. Rush Fees are calculated based on how much we are rushing fabrication of the restoration.
> what time should i schedule my patient for a next-day reline or repair case?
Late afternoon appointments (after 3:30 or 4pm) are best. Typically, repairs and relines are finished in the early afternoon. While our drivers will deliver them right away, even the simplest of repairs can take several hours when traffic, workloads, and processing time are taken into consideration. We will do our best to complete and deliver your case as speedily as possible.
> what next-day repairs can shikosha do? what does shikosha need for a next-day repair case?
We can do tooth replacement, tooth addition, fractures, and minor welding to cast partials. We will determine if we can weld the appliance upon arrival and evaluation. Some cases need to be recast. For Partials and flippers, we would need a pickup impression with the appliance in place. All repairs should include an opposing model and impression.
> what does shikosha need for a next-day reline case?
We will need an impression inside of the denture using impression adhesive. No opposing is needed, and we'll pour the impression here.
> what is shikosha's delivery zone?
Shikosha offers free pick up and delivery within the Greater Portland area, from Salmon Creek to Salem, and from Hillsboro to Gresham. Clients outside of this area receive free ground shipping.
> what are shikosha’s holidays?
Shikosha is closed on all major holidays including New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Christmas Day.
